Adelphi Student and Professor Digitizing Cathedral Archives

Thea Crouch is currently a senior at Adelphi University pursuing two majors in History and Art as well as minoring in Asian Studies. Her accomplishments at Adelphi include making the Dean’s List, as well as presenting research at Adelphi’s annual Scholarship and Creative Works conference in 2023. She currently works in the Department of History as the social media manager and administrative assistant. Thea is a member of the History honor society, Phi Alpha Theta, Secretary of the Adelphi History Club, as well as the recipient of the Thucydides award for excellence and honor in history.

Currently, Thea is under the mentorship of associate professor, Dr. Edward A. Reno III Ph.D. who specializes in Medieval Church history at Adelphi. In Spring of 2024, she and Dr. Reno were awarded a summer research fellowship by the University to conduct research over the summer. They are presently working at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, and are in the process of digitizing the entire archive so as to make it accessible for future scholars and historians.
