Day of the Dead

On Saturday November 2nd, we begin All Saints weekend at Incarnation Chapel with a special All Saints/All Souls family event celebrating the Mexican and Latin American festival of the Day of the Dead, Dia de los Muertos. This day highlights our connection with all those who have gone before us. At 4pm Mother Kate Salisbury will lead a project for all ages designed to honor some of our favorite, and most colorful, ancestors. At 5pm the Eucharist will include time to remember each person we have loved and lost. Everyone is encouraged to bring a photo or memento to place on the altar of remembrance, called an ofrenda. A festive meal follows including some traditional Day of the Dead delicacies.
