“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it,” says the Psalmist (24:1). Likewise, St Paul reminds us, “God made the world and everything in it” (Acts 17:24). Yet the words of the Bible seem to have fallen on deaf ears, especially in modern times, given the carelessness with which we treat Creation. Humanity has been entrusted with a unique role in God’s Creation.
This Lunch & Learn looks to the Bible and Creation in four steps to elucidate God’s will for the world and for us now and at the end of time. Join The Mercer School of Theology online with The Rev. Canon Dr. Michael Hull, Principal and Pantonian Professor of Divinity at the Scottish Episcopal Institute (Edinburgh), four Thursdays from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm via Zoom.
