This past Saturday members of Troop 55, led by retired Scoutmaster Dave Phillips, built a planter for our ministry partner PEACE Afterschool. The planter was built in GC, transported to PEACE and then unloaded and filled with gravel and soil to be used as a garden for the PEACE program.
PEACE is an anacronym for Partnerships in Education to Avoid Criminal Justice System Entry. Their mission is to reduce educational inequity and drug abuse by providing enrichment opportunities for the children of the community.
Many thanks to our Scout volunteers for their service to the wider community!
