Bulletins — sometimes called Orders of Worship — are your roadmap through our services here at the Cathedral. In the Episcopal Church, our worship is richly layered, drawing from several foundational texts that you'll find in the pews: the prayers, responses, and liturgies of the Book of Common Prayer (the BCP), the Church's primary guide to worship since the Reformation; the Hymnal 1982, the Episcopal Church's official collection of hymns and service music; and Lift Every Voice and Sing II (LEVAS), a beloved hymnal in the African American gospel and spiritual tradition. Our bulletins bring all of these together, guiding you through each service so that whether you're worshipping with us for the first time or the thousandth, you always know where we are and can join your voice with ours.
